Pfadt Racing Performance C5 & C6 Corvette Parts
Many Corvette enthusiasts are happy with their car just the way it is. Some may personalize their Corvette by adding Lloyd Floor Mats or American Car Craft Accessories but for the most part they will not make any major modifications. As for others who want to kick the performance levels up a notch, Zip Corvette has the perfect line of performance oriented Corvette Parts available.

Are you looking for race quality products that do not beat you up on the street? Pfadt Racing Sway Bars are the easiest way to perfect the handling of your C5 or C6 Corvette without sacrificing ride quality. These Pfadt Racing Sway Bars are adjustable in both the front and rear to tune your handling. They are designed to bolt in for easy installation, and set up to reduce your Corvette’s tendency to push in the turns. Pfadt C5 and C6 Sway Bars are significantly lighter than both stock and after market bars weighing just 9.5 pounds. 4 pounds lighter than stock!
Pfadt’s “Pfatty” Adjustable Sway Bar for C5 and C6 Corvettes is the alternative to running the super stiff T1 sway bars. The front bar measures 38mm in diameter, same as the GM T1 sway bar. The rear sway bar measures 28mm; both sway bars feature adjustable ends so the suspension can be softened if desired. Pfadt “Pfatty” Adjustable Sway Bar Package is recommended for serious track use. You will be thrilled with the reduced body roll and stability in the turns!
High horsepower or hard-core track days can be hard on engine oil temperatures. This 1997-2004 Corvette Oil Cooler Kit can reduce engine oil temperatures up to as much as 60 degrees. It also includes lightweight ducting to direct the maximum amount of air to the stand-alone cooler, braided stainless steel lines with pre-assembled AN fittings, billet aluminum oil block, and attaching hardware.
Hold the powertrain in place with Pfadt’s uniquely designed transmission brace. This mount reduces the massive powertrain shake (sometimes mistaken as wheel hop) that is common in the C5 Corvette. Pfadt’s Transmission Brace is an excellent solution for high horsepower or performance driven Corvettes. It bolts to the differential to limit powertrain movement and reduces the load on your half-shafts and other driveline components. The Transmission Brace is constructed with 6061 T6 aluminum and anodized for maximum durability. You can couple this transmission mount with Pfadt’s C5 Engine Mounts for an unbeatable package.
Pfadt C5 & C6 Corvette Coil Overs are engineered for exceptional street driving and track performance. Unlike some coil overs, Pfadt’s allow you to adjust ride height independent of spring pre-load so you do not have to compromise ride quality for ride height. Pfadt’s coil overs also feature a compression and rebound dampening adjustment that can be tuned while the suspension is on the Corvette. The shocks are a monotube design for simplicity and durability and are fully rebuildable. Pfadt 1997-2009 Corvette Adjustable Coil Over Shock Kit is a pure bolt on upgrade and fits C5 & C6, standard or Z06 equipped Corvettes.
If you are looking to upgrade your Corvette’s shocks but not looking to make the change to coil overs, these Pfadt Inverted Adjustable Shocks are perfect for your Corvette. Pfadt has designed an adjustable shock that will allow you to “turn it up” for track use or “dial it down” for street use, without tools and without removing the shocks from your Corvette.
Pfadt’s C5 & C6 Corvette Camber Adjustment Kit allows you to achieve the maximum negative camber and eliminates the eccentrics so that the settings do not slip. This kit replaces the bolts on the front upper a-arms with stainless steel studs and Pfadt provides stainless steel shims to set your desired camber and caster. The lower eccentrics are eliminated and the bolts are locked into their maximum position using a set of off-set plates. For the rear Pfadt provides a set of shims for the eccentric to dial in your alignment and make it stick.
Pfadt’s C6 Z06 Corvette Camber Adjustment Kit allows you to achieve the maximum negative camber and eliminates the eccentrics so that the settings do not slip. This kit replaces the bolts on the front upper a-arms with stainless steel studs and Pfadt provides stainless steel shims to set your desired camber and caster. The lower eccentrics are eliminated and the bolts are locked into their maximum position using a set of off-set plates. Where does a person find a responsible mechanic to perform these upgrades??
We would recommend a Corvette specialist that has installed these items before. However the great part about the Pfadt products is that they are “user friendly” to an extent, so if you are mechanically inclined and have both standard and metric wrenches and sockets you could install any of the upgrades yourself. Air tools help greatly, especially when removing some of the early C5 Corvette suspension bolts. All items could be installed in the owner’s garage, but you should take it to a professional for alignment afterwards and if you want to corner-weight the car you will need to find someone with scales and the know-how to dial in the car correctly.

I have the Pfadt adjustable shocks and sway bars on my 2006 Corvette A6 coupe, which I track at HPDE events. I had considerable trouble installing the sway bar arms on the bar, which seems a common problem. The sway bar arms pictured in this post have been significantly changed from the ones I received. The original arms were mounted at an angle to the splined sway bar ends which caused the difficult installation (including a need to replace one arm which nearly came off the bar), while the new arms are mounted at a right angle to the sway bar, with an added angle in the arm between the spline and the link mount holes. What is the performance difference in this major modification?
Good catch! Actually the images on this post are older and need to be updated. It sounds like you have the new design, and there actually was a problem with it that you may need to fix. The bolt that retains the arm to the sway bar was not a shouldered bolt and therefore the arm could come off. Pfadt has fixed this and if you can call us, we can get you a new set of bolts for it.
I was unaware of a previous design, so it looks like I’m up to date as I have the new longer shoulder bolts. I called Pfadt after I had one arm on the front bar (left side as would be expected) come partly off the bar after a weekend at VIR. After replacing the bolts and another VIR weekend, there is no problem.
FYI I have discussed “holes” in the Pfadt sway bar installation instructions with Aaron Pfadt and Josh Smith and a lot of the confusion on installation should be hopefully fixed soon.
Was going to attempt to change the shocks on my 2004 Corvette Coupe. Do you have instructions available to review before I try this to see if I have the talent to do it? Also, what shocks would you recommend for an everyday driver?
Lee,
Unfortunately I do not have any instructions to send you but I will say that the shocks have specific torque settings that should not be altered. As far as what type of shock I would go with the Bilstein shock package.
I am looking for a way to raise my 2000 Corvette convertible back up to stock ride height. It was lowered 2″ by the prior owner and is too low for my taste, even if it handles better – I’d like to keep the parts underneath in tact. Do you have the parts I need to obtain the normal ride height after it had been lowered? The original parts are not available. If you don’t have these parts, do you know of where I can obtain them? Thanks. Rita
Rita,
You should be able to raise your Corvette with the lowering kit. They are adjustable and allow you to turn the bolts to get the Corvette back up to stock height.
