Corsa Corvette Exhaust

For years now Corsa Exhaust Systems have been a leader in aftermarket exhaust. Forgeline Corvette Wheels

For quality off the charts, superior strength, unsurpassed craftsmanship, near- infinite customization and, oh yeah, stunning looks, there is no Corvette wheel finer than Forgeline. Forgeline 3-Piece Wheels are made of 6061 T6 true forged centers sandwiched by 6061 T6 spun rim halves and assembled using aircraft-grade hardware. We offer two different styles of Forgeline wheels for C5 & C6 Corvettes. The base C6 Wheel sizes include 19″x9.5″ and 20″x11″ while the Z06, ZR1, & Grand Sport sizes run 19″x10″ and 20″x12.5″.

Though every Forgeline wheel is built to meet the rigors of track use, the Forgeline Competition Series raises the bar just that much higher. The competition wheels are three pounds lighter than the Forgeline premier series wheels. They include a stepped lip that offers muscular looks and greater load capabilities. Each Forgeline competition wheel comes with a fully polished outer lip and powder coated center wheel in Silver, Gloss Black, Matte Black, Gunmetal or Matte finish Titanium. Each inner rim shell is available powder coated (see our Forgeline Options for more information). Forgeline Competition Series Corvette Wheels are available for C5 & C6 Corvettes. The C5 sizes include 18″x10″ front wheels and 18″x12″ rear wheels while the C6 includes 18″x10″ fronts and 18″x11″ rears for the non Z06, ZR1 or Grand Sport. The base model C6 Corvette Front Bumper Nose Mask, like the Grand Sport or Z06/ZR1 masks, installs easily in less than 30 minutes. Each “StretchBra” mask attaches with retaining clips across the hood opening area and snaps in the wheel well area. Once the snaps are installed the mask can be fitted to your Corvette in just minutes. A built-in stretch cord in the bottom of the mask pulls tight providing the clean, snug fit that can not be replicated with any other material.

For improved cooling efficiency, Z06 & ZR1 Corvette cloth bumper masks can be installed on Grand Sport Corvettes. The Z06 mask features a “screened opening” to improve airflow and reduce the potential for overheating problems common with Z06 Corvettes. While not required for Grand Sport Corvettes, the Z06/ZR1 mask will install without any modifications.

The “StretchBra” front bumper cloth masks are also available for C4 and C5 Corvettes. The masks fit all C4 and C5 Corvettes including the ZR-1, Grand Sport and C5 Z06. Installation and care of these bumper masks are just as simple as they are on the C6.

To show how simple the installation of these nose masks are we have included step-by-step instructions that show how to install the C6 Z06/ZR1 Corvette (Grand Sport if desired) Front Bumper “Stretch Bra” Cloth Nose Mask on a 2007 Z06…

Step 1

Remove the five (5) screws that attach the ground affects/fender liner to the front fender of your Corvette. Repeat for both the left and right side.

Step 2

Replace the ten (10) torx head screws with the ten (10) snap screws that are supplied with the front bumper mask. Repeat for both the left and right side.

Step 3a

Attach the snaps on one end of the nose mask to the inside of your Corvette’s fender (Note: The top of the mask has plastic retainer clips). Pull the bottom of the mask under the front bumper and stretch the mask across the bumper.

Step 3b

Attach the snaps on the opposite end of the mask to the inside of the opposite fender. Be sure that the bottom of the mask remains under the front bumper.

Step 4a

Anchor the top of the mask inside the engine compartment with the plastic clips. The two inner clips will attach just under the hood seal in the vertical position.

Step 4b

The two outer clips will attach on each end of the bumper mounting bracket in the horizontal position. Be sure to attach the outer clips to the edge of the mounting bracket as shown to keep the mask stretched tight.

Step 4c

Here you can see one of the inner clips has been attached to the bumper mount bracket. Make sure that each clip rivet is pulled away from the hood before moving on.

Step 4d

Here you can see both inner clips attached in the vertical position to the bumper mount bracket. Each clip rivet is inside the engine compartment allowing for hood clearance when closing.

Step 5

Place the Velcro strip supplied with the mask under your Corvette to mate up with the Velcro strip on the bottom of the mask. Attach the six clips in the center of the mask to the grill to complete installation.

After the front bumper mask has been installed check to be sure that all snaps are fastened securely and all clips are attached properly. It is not recommended to leave the front bumper mask on for extended periods of time. The mask may be cleaned by hand or machine washed in a laundry bag with a mild detergent (no bleach).

Corvette Predator Programmer

The C6 Corvette DiabloSport Predator Programmer is a state-of-the art, high performance tuning flash programmer in a sleek handheld design. Once connected to your C6, Z06, or Grand Sport Corvette, the Predators internal computer recognizes the PCM and automatically picks the proper tuning files designed specifically for that PCM. Inside the Predator’s memory are the actual tuning files that optimize spark timing and air/fuel ratio curves. Unlike other “tuners”, the DiabloSport Predator programming is performed in very small increments throughout the entire RPM range, for a smoother, wider and more predictable power delivery. DiabloSport engineers spend many hours on the dyno, street, and track to ensure the tunes provided with the Predator are the best they can possibly be for your Corvette.

Installing a DiabloSport tune on your Corvette using the Predator Programmer is simple and only takes a few minutes. You should know that the very first time the predator is used on your Corvette it will automatically create a backup of the original factory tune. If your Corvette has previously been tuned you should proceed with caution as serious engine damage can occur if the Predator tune is installed over a non-factory or aftermarket tune. We recommend having a Chevrolet dealer reflash your Corvettes ECU (Engine Control Unit) to its original settings so there will be no possibility of damage to your Corvette.

Before starting to install the tune be sure that your Corvette is parked and the engine is off. All doors must be closed and all electrical accessories must remain off. To install the tune, plug the Predator into the diagnostic port. The predator will recognize the vehicle and then give the options of performance tune, diagnostics, or options; select performance tune by pressing the continue key. After reading the disclaimer you can now turn the ignition on being sure not to start the vehicle. Next highlight the type of tune you would like to install and follow all prompts to turn the ignition on and off. While the tune is being written, be sure not to interrupt the process or ECM damage can occur. Once completed, you simply unplug the Predator and cycle the key to start your Corvette’s engine. The predator also contains several DiabloSport tunes that have been tested and approved by their engineers. You can install your choice tune as is or you may customize the tune to meet your wants and needs.

If you are planning on having your Corvette serviced it is recommended that you restore your Corvette back to the stock tune. This can be done at any time using the restore feature on the Predator. No need to worry if you have customized the tune as it will be saved for future use.

C6 Corvette Sprint Booster

In January we introduced the C6 Corvette Sprint Booster Power Converter to all of our customers. The Sprint Booster, which offered outstanding throttle response improvements over the stock C6 Corvette setup has since be redesigned and is now available for both automatic and manual equipped C6, Z06, ZR1, and Grand Sport Corvettes. The key addition to the redesigned Sprint Booster is the ability to choose from three different acceleration programs; stock, acceleration program one, and acceleration program two. With the stock setting, your Corvette will perform as it did before the Sprint Booster was ever installed on the car. Step it up a notch with acceleration program one and now you will see an improved throttle response ideal for moderately aggressive driving. If program one isn’t enough switch your Corvette’s Sprint Booster to acceleration program two and be prepared for an even greater throttle response that is recommended for aggressive driving.

C6 Corvette Sprint Booster Installed

The C6 Corvette Sprint Booster Power Converter comes from the factory set to acceleration program two. You will know that the Sprint Booster is set on program two by a red LED indicator light that will appear on the switch. By simply pressing the button once you can switch back to the factory settings (LED light turns off) and once more will activate acceleration program one (LED light turns green). Once the desired program is set you can either leave the switch connected to the Sprint Booster, which will allow for quick program changes or remove the switch entirely. The Sprint Booster is designed to be able to adjust on the fly so you can cycle through the different acceleration programs while driving. This is the advantage you lose if the switch is removed. Be aware that you should not change programs with the Corvette’s accelerator pedal depressed because the behavior of the accelerator pedal will be instantly changed.

Installation of the Sprint Booster and switch requires double sided tape and a single tie wrap that is included in the box. Simply insert the Sprint Booster into the accelerator pedal, plug the switch into the white socket of the Sprint Booster, mount the switch on the dash using the double sided tape, and secure the excess wire so it will not interfere with your foot or motion of the pedals. Detailed instructions are also included in the box.

The Sprint Booster is not designed to add horsepower to your Corvette but it will increase the throttle response allowing for much quicker acceleration out of turns or from a stop. With one installed, you can count on faster lap times at the track or better reaction times at the drag strip.

C5/C6 Carbon Fiber Driveshaft

Stock C5 & C6 Corvette aluminum driveshafts can “whip” at high RPM’s, which can eventually lead to a bent or broken driveshaft. By upgrading to a carbon fiber Corvette driveshaft you will not have to worry about bending or breaking your Corvette’s stock driveshaft as the carbon fiber will not change shape at high RPM’s. Zip’s new carbon fiber driveshaft is stronger and lighter than the stock driveshaft and unlike the factory setup, you will not have to worry about vibration issues caused by bends or breaks. In the event of a driveline failure the carbon fiber driveshaft will “broom”, which will just polish the inside of the torque tube instead of causing a complete failure.

Our carbon fiber driveshaft will bolt-in to a 2001-2010 C5/C6 Corvette with a manual 6 Speed Transmission and provide instant reliability and safety for any C5/C6 Corvette owner who enjoys pushing the limits of their Corvette. We are always looking to take advantage of every square inch of the C6 Corvette. One way to see that this happens is to install a Corvette Sprint Booster Power Converter. The sprint booster will eliminate the delay between your gas pedal and the throttle body that is common on all drive by wire systems. The sprint booster changes the opening rate at which your Corvette’s Throttle Body opens in relation to the gas pedal operation and decreases the amount of time to achieve full throttle. This helps reaction times at the drag strip, and also helps to accelerate quicker out of turns on the road course. The C6 Corvette sprint booster gives real time control over the acceleration of your Corvette’s Engine and the best part is that it fits all 2006 and later Corvettes including the Z06 and ZR1.

There is no doubt that by adding this sprint booster to any C6, Z06 or ZR1 Corvette that the car will reach full throttle at a significantly faster pace then the stock setup, allowing you to take off and accelerate out of turns at a much faster pace.

Though they may not seem like much your C5 or C6 Corvette’s Inner & Outer CV Joint Boots play a key role in keeping your Corvette on the road. They are prone to cracking or splitting, which can have multiple negative effects on the drive-ability of your Corvette. Besides allowing contamination into the CV joint itself and causing premature wear of the bearings, cracked CV joint boots allow grease to be slung out of the boot, which can saturate your Corvette’s Brakes.  This would not only cause an increase in braking distances but can also ruin your Corvette’s brake pads and rear rotors. If you have replaced your Corvette’s rear brake components or upgraded to performance brake pads & rotors, you know that brake rotor and pad replacements can get very expensive.

Until now the only sure way to avoid damage from bad CV joint boots was to replace the expensive CV axle shaft, which comes with new inner and outer CV joint boots. C6 ZR1 Chrome Wheel Set

Earlier this year we added the new C6 ZR1 style chrome wheels to our inventory. The C6 ZR1 wheels are currently available in black, chrome, & hyper-dark silver but until now could not be ordered in C6 Z06 or ZR1 Corvette wheel sizes. After months of waiting and telling Z06 & ZR1 customers that the chrome ZR1 wheels were not available, we now have C6 ZR1 Chrome Wheel Sets available for the Z06 & ZR1 Corvette. The new reproduction Corvette Chrome Wheel Sets come with two front wheels that measure 19″x10″ and two rear wheels that measure 20″x12″.  It will only be a matter of time before these stunning wheels start appearing on C6 Z06 & ZR1 Corvettes local to you.

C6 160 Thermostat

Until now, Corvette Parts vendors have been selling 2004-2008 style Corvette thermostats to 2009-2010 Corvette owners. With the appearances of the two 160 degree thermostats being so similar it is easy to understand why. GM changed the size of the thermostat on all 2009-2010 Corvettes, which causes sealing issues when installing a 2004-2008 style thermostat.
