Ken,
The antenna hole was not in the left rear quarter panel of a Corvette, it is in the top deck. GM does not make a top rear deck anymore so the only way to go is aftermarket. We have a press molded Convertible deck but not for a coupe. I believe the hole was in all rear decks, Corvettes with radio delete had the hole filled prior to painting.

Charles,
You have ground wires in the harness that ground your gauges etc. The ground wires bolt to the chassis at several locations behind the dash. It is also important that you have your ground straps that ground the birdcage to the frame and your Corvette's engine ground strap in place.

Stephen,
It will not decrease the shift time from the paddles. That is not a programmable feature.

I have a 1971 Corvette and have replaced the front wiring harness. I have installed all new components but neither the wiper motor or fuel gauge is working. It seems that something is not grounded properly. Can someone explain to me how the dash is grounded? My Corvette's dash lights work but nothing on the instrument cluster works.

I had a similar problem with my 1991 Corvette. I fixed it by buying a "low profile" wiperblade that was made to fit the Corvette. It took 3 tries to find a set that would fit without problems.

How did GM finish the rear left quarter panels for radio delete cars? With hole or without hole? I am trying to restore a 70's Corvette with the radio delete option and need to know how it came from the factory?
Thank You

Maybe we are thinking about two different things. I should have been more accurate. Sorry! I'm thinking about how quickly it shifts with paddle shifts. Seems many complain about the delay (which I understand has been resolved in latter models).

Dan,
You have to rotate the sending unit out. The pump and arm have to come out. You should be able to see which way to rotate the unit as it comes out.

Stan,
The best way I can tell you is to remove all the linkage from the transmission arms and make sure the transmission is in neutral (all arms straight up). There is a Shifter Linkage Adjustment Tool available. Insert the tool into the shifter slot on the bottom of the shifter. It will lock the shifter arms into neutral, now you can adjust your linkage to mate up to the transmission.

I have a 1966 Corvette. Do you have directions on how to adjust the 4 speed Muncie Transmission shifter linkage? The transmission is in the Corvette and the shifter has been rebuilt but still has original linkage.

Here's the real question. Superchips Cortex Programer states it will enhance shift firmness yet none of the other Power Programers are able to. Best I can tell from reports is that none of them can. Does anyone have any results to confirm this suggested upgrade?

Stephen,
The factory fans do come on at 225, this cannot be lowered by a thermostat. If you want to lower the main fan temperature on a C4 Corvette it has to be done by either a chip in the ECM or programming on 1994-1996 Corvettes. You can also wire around to a switch. On 1984-1989 Corvettes with dual fans there is a temperature switch in the cylinder head that controls the front fan. Our 1984-1991 Low Temp Fan Switch Conversion Harness will allow you to wire an extra ground wire to the main fan relay. When the switch hits its preset temperature it will ground the relay and turn the fan on early.

The dealer replaced the fan motor and they come on at 225 degrees. The dealer says thats were the fans should come on but that is way to hot for me. We live in Florida, I am going to try a 160 degree thermostat, purple ice w/water and 1 gallon of 50/50, hopefully that will help. If any corvette owners know otherwise please let me know.
Thanks
