For 2009, Corsa has completely re-engineered their exhaust systems specifically for your 6-speed or A6 automatic equipped Corvette. The difference is Corsa’s development staff. They painstakingly worked to specifically tune the frequencies so all you hear is the deep, aggressive, and appealing tones when you want to hear them. The net result is the engine makes more horsepower and torque due to straight through design, and produces a great sound with no interior resonance. In addition, you will also experience some trailing throttle noise (or burble) on deceleration, so do not be surprised when your audience thinks you are driving a race car. 2009 Corsa Touring Exhaust System - Quad 3.5" Tips
The Corsa Sport system will without a doubt give your Corvette a much more aggressive tone when compared to the stock application. For many this is great, but for those who are looking for that patented Corsa technology and not quite so much rumble, you may want to look at the C6 Corvette Corsa Touring Exhaust System. You will still hear a difference in this exhaust system over the stock system but not to the magnitude of the Corsa Sport. The main difference between the Sport and Touring applications are the muffler resonators, which are included with the Touring package. Where both systems are virtually a straight through design, the exhaust flow on the Touring setup must pass through the resonators, which will quiet the system by 3-decibels. This will leave your Corvette with added horsepower, an increase in torque, no interior resonance, and still a great sound. The Xtreme system offers a deeper tone at idle, is 2-3 decibels louder outside the Corvette under throttle, yet still controls the interior sound level. The way Corsa has boosted the Sport system to make it “Xtreme” is by simply redesigning the mufflers to eliminate “problem sound” frequencies. In a typical Corsa muffler, sound waves are reflected off the muffler walls canceling each other out. The same is still the case for the Xtreme system just fewer cancellations take place. 2009 Z06 & ZR1 Corsa Sport - Dual 4" Tips
Also available at Zip Corvette is the Corsa Sport Exhaust System for 2009 Z06 & ZR1 Corvettes. The system comes with either dual 4″ pro series tips or quad 4″ pro series tips. The full 3″ system is guaranteed to provide you with a race car-like sound at full throttle but is quiet enough at cruising speeds for good conversation and music. On top of the great looks and sound the Sport system will add an average of 10hp and 14 lb/ft of torque to the wheels.
