2009 NCRS Corvette Road Tour

As a proud sponsor of the 2009 NCRS National Corvette Road Tour, Zip Corvette would like to help spread the word about this year’s event. The combination of some of our Country’s most beautiful places with some of the most amazing Corvettes has allowed this tour to become a yearly success. This year the NCRS Road Tour will make its way to San Jose while touring popular landmarks such as the Grand Canyon, Hearst Castle, and much more.

There are currently seven tours planned to make way to the San Jose California Convention Site: The Eastern tour departs from Carlisle Pennsylvania on July 2nd and will meet with the Canadian tour on July 3rd in Effingham Illinois. The Canadian tour will depart from Bolton, Ontario on June 30th. The Rocky Mountain tour will depart from Denver Colorado on July 5th & will join the Texas tour in New Mexico, which departs from Weatherford Texas also on July 5th. From there they will meet with the North West tour (departing from Yakima Washington on July 9th) and Southern California tour (departing from Ontario, California on July 10th). There is also a Southeast tour but a departure date and route has not yet been determined.

1968-1982 Corvette Reproduction Master Cylinders

March 16th, 2009

Non-original Corvette Master Cylinders stick out like a sore thumb. Just pop the hood on any 1968-1982 Corvette and you can very easily identify the originality of your master cylinder through small yet important details. C1 Corvette Windshield Washer Vacuum Tank

Zip Corvette’s 1958-1961 Corvette windshield washer vacuum tank is an excellent reproduction of the original that will only add to your solid axle restoration. This vacuum tank comes with the correct valve installed and will meet NCRS judging standards. Tank is correct for all 1958-1960 Corvettes and 1961 early production Corvettes only.

Don’t settle for a tank that isn’t exactly like the original; your Corvette’s value will suffer.

1967 Reproduction Master Cylinder

It is no secret that 1967 Corvette master cylinders, both standard and power, have been on the market for years. Many enthusiasts have gotten by with these basic replacements in the past for the simple fact that there were no other options. Well, what about the dual bleeders that were on the original master cylinders? Or the “DC” and “PG” trademarks that were stamped into the front pad? How about the original GM casting numbers? To some, these details may seem pointless but to an NCRS judge, they could matter.
