The new Corvette LS7 Edelbrock Supercharger System pushes a stock Corvette LS7 engine up to an amazing 657 flywheel HP and 582 ft-lbs of torque. This supercharger incorporates the Eaton Twin Vortices Series (TVS) Gen VI rotor assembly, the same internals used on the new ZR1 Corvette, an air to water twin intercooler system and dual core heat exchanger. Torque has been optimized through the use of 12″ long runners, while low speed fuel economy is retained through the use of an internal bypass valve to reduce parasitic loss. All of this equipment integrates with the dry sump system and fits under the stock hood without any modifications.
This system includes all of the components needed to support the increased power output of the engine: 60 lb/hr injectors, a high flow air intake system and a handheld programming module to update the ECU. It is designed to work with all OEM emissions equipment and is 50-state street legal (E.O. Number D-215-76). It also includes matching aluminum coil covers that are black powder coated for a great under hood look.
In 2005 Corvette was having a great year. The new Corvette was selling well and it was the first year of the new body style and it was hot, yet better things were brewing for the Corvette. At the end of the 2005 model year the new 2006 models were being shown off and the rumors of a new Z06 were confirmed. Among the many great options on the C6 Z06 Corvette was the addition of brake padlets, which allow each piston to have its own brake pad. There were a total of 12 padlets in the front and 8 in the rear. This design came from the world of F1 and had never been on a production road car. These came with mixed feelings, but they have proved to be very effective.
Another first for the Corvette, which had not occurred since 1982 was that the Corvette used opposing pistons vs. a single side piston. Opposing pistons means that you have a piston on each side of the rotor vs the 1984-2004 style that only had pistons on the inboard side and the caliper slides to pinch the pads against the rotors. Part of the reason for the padlets was to give multiple leading edges vs. just two on the single pad design.
The new brakes were not well received by some, GM taunted the car as basically a street legal race car. There were some who thought you should be able to take it straight to the track as it sat on the showroom floor. For the most part you could, but you would quickly find the limitations of the brakes. However, the problem was not the brakes themselves, it was the pad compound that was the issue. When the proper compound brake pad was chosen the brakes would perform extremely well. The only downfall of the new design was the pins that held the pads in place. The pins themselves were fine, but finding a new pin(s) was a challenge. In order to get new Corvette brake pad pins you had to buy a new brake caliper.

It is always recommended to change the pins when replacing the pads, it is not always required but the pins do wear and it is a sure fire way to keep everything in proper working order. This will insure that your brake caliper pins will come out every time.

Zip’s Corvette spark plug wire sets begin with a heat shielded Magnacor wire. Magnecor’s exclusive 2.5mm high capacity Metallic Inductance EMI Suppressed conductor consists of a stainless steel wire precisely wound at 200 turns per inch over a ferromagnetic core. The insulating jacket is made entirely of Magnecor’s exclusive TC-1500-HS high strength aerospace grade silicone rubber, and its single layer construction will prolong the jacket’s insulating ability by conducting extreme heat away from hot-spots that occur near over-the-limit heat sources.
The protection provided from the heat shield guarantees that this will be the last set of spark plug wires you will ever have to replace from header burn. The KV85 8.5mm jacket has a service heat resistance of 600 degrees F (320 degrees C) and up to 1,000 degrees F (540 degrees C) for a short burst of 3 minutes. The R-100 10mm jacket has a service heat resistance of 700 degrees F (380 degrees C) and up to 1,200 degrees F (650 degrees C) for a short burst of 3 minutes. Even if limits are exceeded, the silicone rubber will retain its insulating ability until wires are removed from engine.
Magnecor wires are primarily designed and constructed to be used in applications where it is essential to prevent the possibility of ignition wires compromising engine performance. Modern race engines, modified street engines and stock street engines which rely on electronic devices to control the function of either or both the Corvette ignition and fuel systems are prone to interference from all other spiral conductor ignition wires sold through performance parts outlets, none of which can provide proper suppression for EMI, particularly if a high-output ignition system is used.
Zip Corvette always recommends use of these performance spark plug wires on any stock or modified late model Corvette engine that is electronically managed however most other modified or street engines can also use our performance spark plug wires to improve ignition performance. Fits all 1997-2011 Corvettes with or without headers.

If your C6 Corvette’s Center Console Door has started to look a little worn; or maybe it no longer functions properly with regard to the latch; you might be interested in replacing or upgrading to an embroidered console. Zip Corvette can supply a new (original-style) center console door that is a genuine GM accessory. These doors have the C6 Corvette Emblem embroidered on them; and are offered in the following interior colors: Cashmere, Ebony, Varsity Red, and Titanium Gray.
Installation of the console door is very easy. Basically, 4 screws hold the door to the hinge on the console. You open up the door and remove the screws that retain it (save the screws). Then align the new door with the hinge/latch and re-install the screws. There is an instruction sheet included with each center console door and it shows that the screws should be torqued to a value of 18 lbs. However, in the absence of a torque wrench; this operation could still be completed, and the torque checked later.
In addition to this console upgrade, Zip Corvette offers several other C6 Corvette Interior Trim pieces such as emblems, knobs and related parts that can add a personal touch to your C6 Corvette’s interior. Since the console door is central to the interior of your Vette, matches the color, and also has the colorful C6 emblem; it would be a great starting point to upgrading your interior.
Tired of removing your C6 Corvette’s brake caliper or breaking tools to remove the factory caliper pins in your Z06 or Grand Sport Corvette? Zip Corvette now carries 2006-2011 C6 Corvette Racing Brake Caliper Pin Bolts. These have a 10mm socket head so you can use a 3/8 ratchet to remove and install them and a stainless bolt liner the pad rides on so the bolts will not wear as quickly as the factory ones. Dacrotized anti-corrosion finish will keep them from rusting. Full car set includes 28 bolts for front and rear brake calipers. Fits all 2006-2011 Z06 and Grand Sport Corvettes.
It never fails. When GM introduces a new wheel style on a Corvette, some Corvette owners want to upgrade their Corvette with the new style wheel, but with a different finish.
